Getting through security took ages. I expected a bit of a wait, but this was REALLY slow and frustrating.

Used Belfast City Airport last week the parking was easier than I expected. The signs were clear enough, and I found a space without doing that annoying loop around and around. The drop-off area is nice and close to the terminal too, which was a relief since we were rushing with bags and I was already thinking about whether I’d packed everything. Prices are still a bit steep, but that seems to be the way with airports these days. Overall, it was simple, handy, and not stressful. I’d use it again.

I was bit confused about where to go for check-in, but staff at Belfast City Airport were really lovely and showed me right way straight away. Security staff were friendly as well, which makes big difference when you’re in a rush. It’s small airport, but people working there made everything feel easy.

Getting through the airport itself was straightforward, but the baggage part was slower than I expected. I ended up waiting about 25 minutes for my bag, which felt a bit much for a smaller airport. I also felt like I was being passed around a little when trying to figure out what was going on, since no one really had a clear answer. The staff were polite enough and my bag wasn’t damaged, so it wasn’t a terrible experience, just not very quick or well organized.

Flew out of Belfast City Airport last week check-in was a lot smoother than I thought it would be. The queue kept moving, which was a nice surprise, and the staff at the desk were friendly enough even with it being busy.
Bag drop was simple too, no faffing around, no long wait... just got it sorted and moved on. All in all, it was a easy start to the trip, so yeah, no complaints from me!

When I went, I was happy to find plenty of seats available, so I didn’t have to wander around looking for somewhere to sit. The toilets were clean enough too, which is always a relief. There wasn’t a huge amount to do once I got through security, but for a short wait it felt easy, comfortable, and stress-free.

Belfast City Airport was mostly fine for me. Getting there by taxi was straightforward, and the bus is useful too if the timetable happens to line up with your flight, your bags, your plans, and whatever else you’ve got going on. The main issue was later in the evening, when transport options felt a bit thin — like fewer buses, more waiting around, not as many obvious choices, and that awkward feeling of wondering whether to grab a taxi or keep checking the schedule. The signs for the bus stop could also be clearer, especially if you’re tired, carrying luggage, looking for exits, trying to follow arrows, and figuring out where you’re meant to stand. Inside the airport, accessibility was generally okay, with lifts and space and the usual facilities, but it didn’t feel completely smooth in every spot. Overall, it’s a perfectly decent airport, just one that could make onward travel a bit easier.

The airport itself was easy to get around, so no complaints there. But the food and shopping options were a bit “limited.” When I was there, not many places seemed to be open, and the ones that were felt pricey for what you actually get. The shops were basic too, mostly just the usual airport stuff. It’s fine if you just need a quick coffee or snack, but if your flight gets delayed, it’s not exactly a great place to be stuck...

I passed through the terminal and it was mostly okay. The floors seemed fairly clean, but the toilets could’ve used more attention. Reading between the lines, it didn’t feel neglected exactly, just like the cleaning hadn’t quite kept up with the flow of people. Not a bad experience, but parts of it did feel a bit untidy.
